Carnival Splendor

Carnival Splendor was launched on August 3rd, 2007 and entered service on July 2nd, 2008, she was built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy at a cost of $697 million, she is currently the only ship in the Splendor class (as of 2012), she is similar in design to Costa Concordia as she was originally built for Costa Cruises.

Splendor was christened in Dover, uk on July 10th, 2008 by her godmother Myleene Klass and her maiden voyage took place on August 18th 2008, some of the features on the carnival splendor include a state-of-the-art, indoor spa that is incorporated into two of the forward decks of the ship, the splendor also boasts a 5,500 sq ft children's play area which is the largest in the Carnival fleet.
