Costa Favolosa came into service in 2011 for Costa cruises she was built at the Fincantieri shipyards in Italy at a cost of 510 million dollars she is the sister ship to the Costa Fascinosa.

On board the ship has a total of 1,508 cabins and she can accommodate up to 3,800 guests, Costa favolosa is described by Costa as being like an enchanted fairytale castle, she is beautifully decorated and has over 400 original works of art on board as well as modern state-of-the-art technology including a 4D cinema and Grand Prix racing Simulator, favolosa is also equipped with all the usual attractions found on a modern cruise ship including plenty of bars and restaurants,4 pools and a waterslide, jogging track, shopping centre, disco, treatment rooms, sauna, and Turkish bath plus much more.
