Emerald Princess a came into service for princess cruises in 2007, and is one of the largest ships in the Princess fleet, the ship was named in a mother’s day ceremony that took place in Greece the birthplace of mothers day, with some of television's most famous mothers and daughters to collectively serve as godparents for the emerald princess, Florence Henderson and her TV daughter, Susan Olsen stars of the Brady bunch joined forces with happy days mother and daughter Marion Ross and Erin Moran who christened the ship on 13 may 2007, as part of the festivities the christeners were joined by Gavin MacLeod, former captain of The Love Boat.

On board Emerald princess there is a good range of passenger accommodation options to choose from, almost 900 cabins come with a balcony from which you can take in the ever changing vista.

the ship offers several formal dining rooms in the cruise tradition, with Traditional Dining at the same times for each meal other dining options include local specialties and gourmet favourites from the ships speciality restaurants, flexible anytime dining which means you aren't limited to eating at a fixed time or place on the ship and finally casual dining where you can Get a quick and satisfying bite such as burgers hot dogs and pizza whenever you like from the various Casual Dining eateries.

The Vessel comes equipped with all the usual cruise ship facilities such as a casino, pools and whirlpools, the princess theatre sets the stage with captivating productions and some of the most talented musicians, singers and dancers at sea.

For younger guests youth and teen centre’s are fully equipped with everything from the latest video games and movies, to arts and crafts, fooseball tables, board games and jukeboxes. And for the littlest ones, activities like kids' karaoke, pizza parties, pyjama nights and more.
