The Verandah Café and Palm Court was a pair of rooms located on both sides of the second-class staircase aft on the Promenade Deck towards the stern of the ship.

The Verandah’s had a distinctly outdoor feeling, The room had beautiful trellised decor with cane furniture, and a checkerboard tiled floor, there was real ivy growing up the walls, and a selection of real potted palm trees, Enormous 7 feet tall windows gave passengers an uninterrupted view of the passing ocean, While sliding doors aft opened the room to sea breezes, The Verandah’s shared a service pantry with the first-class Smoking Room just forward, providing passengers the opportunity to order light meals and drink.

The non-smoking section, located on the starboard side was less busy and was used as an unofficial play area for first class children.
