1st class dining

Titanic’s 1st class dining room was located on D deck next to the first class reception room, between the second and third smokestack, this location would have provided first class diners with the smoothest ride available, the room was decorated in a Jacobean-style with a linoleum tiled floor and furnished with tables and comfortable armchairs.

The dining room was a large room spanning the entire width of the ship and could accommodate over 500 diners

On the wreck of the titanic the 1st class dining room survived the sinking and was explored by James Cameron during one of his dives down to the wreck, he found the tall leaded windows in this room were still intact along with The hand-carved mahogany panelling on the walls.
