Second class cabins were available with either twin bunk beds or a single bed for passengers travelling alone, a single cabin came equipped with a sink and mirror but no toilet facilities, a 2nd class twin berth stateroom offered slightly more luxury than the single room, with twin bunk beds, a small sofa, a wardrobe or dressing table and washing facilities, some rooms also came with a writing desk.

The average ticket price for an adult second class passenger on the titanic was £13, the equivalent of around £1,000 in today’s money.
