The swimming pool on the titanic was located on F deck towards the bow of the ship on the starboard side, the pool was for use by first class passengers only and cost 1 shilling to use the facility, tickets could be purchased at the pursers office, swimming costumes were also provided, male and female passengers were not allowed to use the pool at the same time.

The heated swimming pool was only the second of its kind anywhere on the ocean, titanic’s sister ship RMS Olympic was the first ocean liner to go to sea with a swimming pool on board.

The pool measured approximately 30 feet in length and 14 feet wide and the depth of the water at the forward end was 4 feet 6 inches increasing to 5 feet 4 inches at the other end of the pool.
