Lower Deck G is the eighth deck down from the top and consists of  boiler room casings, coal bunkers, engine room casings,the Squash racquet court; Post Office; various storage rooms including food freezers and coolers; baggage rooms;  crew quarters; some 3rd class open berths, engine store rooms and workshops

G deck was one of the first areas to be affected and began flooding within 15 minutes of the titanic's collision with the iceberg.
